Growing up on the stunning Vancouver Island, I have always been deeply connected to the natural beauty that surrounds me. My childhood summers spent with family on the rural west coast—particularly in enchanting locales such as Sooke and Port Renfrew—shaped my appreciation for the vibrant landscapes and rich textures of our environment. These formative experiences were not just vacations; they were a foundation upon which my artistic vision has been built.
With roots in Port Renfrew through several generations of my family on my father's side, and cherished memories of my great-grandmother living in Qualicum Bay, I have always felt a profound connection to this land. The hours spent exploring the rugged beaches, majestic forests, and pristine waters are vividly etched in my memory, serving as constant inspiration for my work.
